Algeria records 157 cases of Coronavirus, and Morocco reaches 488,181 cases



Dr. Jamal Forar, a spokesman for the National Committee for Coronavirus Follow-up in Algeria, announced today that 157 cases of Coronavirus infection and 3 deaths were recorded in one day.


Vorar said in his daily press conference that the total number of injuries increased to 115 thousand and 8 cases, while the total deaths rose to 3031 deaths.


He added that the total cases recovered amounted to 79,672 cases, after the recovery of 116 cases within one day, explaining that most of the deaths were among the elderly, indicating that 12 injured were in intensive care.


The highest death toll from corona in Algeria was 1,133 cases in one day, and it was recorded on 24 November.


It is noteworthy that most of the injuries were concentrated in the state of Blida, which is 36 kilometers west of Algiers, and a complete quarantine was imposed on them since March 24 for a month, due to the spread of cases.


The Algerian authorities impose a curfew due to the Corona from 10 pm to 5 am in 19 states, including Algiers.


Today, Friday, the Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the registration of 431 new confirmed cases of the "Corona" virus, during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people infected with the virus to 488,181 cases.


A statement by the Moroccan Ministry of Health stated that the total of the analyzes that were conducted, following 13,082 examinations, had reached 5293073 since the virus began spreading. In Morocco, March 2 last year.


The statement added that 4 new deaths were recorded, bringing the number to 8716, and an additional 681 recoveries were recorded, bringing the total of those recovering to 474,938.
